I am Italian, born in Milan where I attended university, obtaining my degree in Information Technology at a time where Internet was yet to come and personal computing was still in its infancy.

Avid reader, both of fiction and comics, I wrote a few Sci-Fi short stories when younger and sketched some of the ideas for “No Kings No Gods No Mercy” while sitting on some very uncomfortable university benches. Caught up in working life - a job opportunity led me to move to London in 1995 where I worked as a freelance Systems Analyst for years - I never embarked upon the project as it seemed there was always something else more urgent to do.

Keenly interested in military history upon which I drew inspiration to depict the battle scenes and bitten by the travel bug at an early age, I also have a passion for scuba diving – to the point of becoming an instructor - all of which led me to go on a long sabbatical around the world above and under water.

Between an exhilarating shark dive in the Galapagos and a trek on the ices of Antarctica I decided it was a good time to turn my old dream into reality and finally started writing down the first draft of the novel.

Eventually, realisation dawned of how different it is to tackle a complex full-length novel, populated by a multitude of unique characters, from completing a short story. What was supposed to be, at most, a relatively light nine-month task, became a decade-long commitment but at last the trilogy is complete.

The Fantasy genre offers extraordinary opportunities to entertain and captivate audiences while at the same time focus on universal themes and situations relevant to our lives and my novels invite readers to make a foray into another world without leaving their brains behind.

Thank you for making time to read this and I hope you will take as much pleasure in unravelling the story as I had writing it.

I'd love to hear from you!
